Regular instability may be the consequence of a postural process destructuring

by Dr. Mesquida Serge

Why instability is so difficult to heal ?

Instability is often a reason to consult a physician. When such a difficulty occurs, one gets trapped in a therapeutic dead-end because in this case there is no actual dizziness, there is no feeling of a rotation as if the environment is moving. The feeling is more like a drunkenness feeling when one has not drunk, a pitch feeling with no boat, a feeling to be dragged on one side whether while walking or standing still.

One gets slightly uneasy since jaw reeducation and medicines have little effects and symptoms stay.

Eyes, teeths and cervical vertebras are also part of the equilibration system

For unstability, a disfunction of the internal ear is always first considered, while disfunction of eyes, teeth and cervical vertebras are much less considered.

If one gathers a vision default wrongly corrected due to a cataract start, of glasses not properly fit, a difficulty to join the two eye vision (convergence deficiency), with a teeth defect due to a badly fitted device, a missing tooth, and a neck stiffness due to advanced arthrosis or articulation stiffness, then all ingredients are gathered to lead to a regular instability.

The postural process is disrupted by a default of the perception performance

When considered one by one, all these defaults are not significant, but added together they disrupt the postural process. There is a difference between the environment as it is, as it can be perceived, and as we expect to perceive. This difference is the instability. The diagnosis cannot be found in such an organ as the internal ear for the dizziness, but in a default of the perception performance that results into disruption of the postural process.
