Functional chronic pains

Functional chronic pains

Beyond three to six months, persistent and resistant pains to conventional treatment are called chronic pains. Chronic pains are either of organic origin related to a lesion, or functional related to a permanent malfunction.

It is common to suffer for months or years : permanent sore background interlaced with more or less long crises of acute pains. A de-structuring of the postural process is found in almost all of this type of joint, muscle or tendon pain, when all other organic causes are ruled out.

When our body is constantly twisted in space, one or more joints, muscles or tendons, bear the whole load. The general constraint translates in an area of our body, perpetually under loads, that starts to suffer permanently. This is the beginning of the chronic pains, which can go up to the progressive wear of a joint that will spread over years.
